The JR and Heisei Chikuho Railway operate at the station building which was renovated in 2019. In the station building is a reasonable hostel for accommodation as well as restaurants and an observation deck.

Iikane Palette incorporates diverse types of facilities, including a full-fledged recording studio and a hostel. You can also enjoy a barbecue in the schoolyard (barbecue equipment is available for hire).

The store directly managed by the Japan Agricultural Cooperatives (JA) sells a variety of a gricultural pro d ucts of Ta gawa’ s district producers. In addition to agricultural specialties, such as paprika, the store sells local specialty Kanagawa beef, seasonal flowers, processed goods, and boxed lunches. A retro station building in peaceful countryside landscape―a relaxing trip on a local train. There is a variety of colorful coaches. One day excursion ticket costs 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children. You can get on and off at any station freely all day. Ticket holders get a free ride for one schoolchild on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Furthermore, the ticket is provided with free hot spring tickets to Genjiinomori Onsen (get off at Genjiinomori Station) and to Hino no Yu and Fujiyu no Sato (get off at Kanada Station).
The Heisei Chikuho Railway conducts tic ket exchange swith its sister railway, the Pingxi Line, a railway branch line of the Taiwan Railways Administration. The Pingxi Line also has a history of coal transportation.

COTOCOTO is Heisei Chikuho Railway’ s new tourist train that came into operation in March 2019. The gorgeous design of the train is Eiji Mitooka’ s work. He also designed the Seven Stars in Kyushu, a deluxe sleeping car excursion train of JR Kyushu. In the train, visitors can taste the finest French cuisine supervised by Fukuyama, the chef of the restaurant Goh in Fukuoka.

There are open-air hot-spring baths, and men’ s open-air bath commands Mt.Kawaradake and the Fukuchi Mountains, so bathing before it gets dark is recommended.

The location of this object is famous because it is the auspicious spot where the actor and actress who co-starred in the movie later married.
